It seems like all of my friends are getting engaged. I rarely get on Facebook but when I do I am always seeing new posts and pictures of people getting married or engaged. I feel like we are still so young and not prepared to get married. Then I think about in the olden days. My grandparents got married at 17 and 18. So 22 and 23 does not seem so young compared to how old they were. It is very exciting to see my friends start a new part of their life but I wonder when I will start mine.
It is so weird to see everyone grow up. I do understand I am getting older and everyone is ready to move on in their lives. Last summer I attended three weddings and just last month I was a bridesmaid in one of my good friend's wedding. How do you know when you are ready to settle down? I feel like I am still so young and have so much to do before I get married and start a family. I feel I need to finish school and get a job before I can even think about the idea of getting married. I would also like to travel a lot. Maybe to Australia, Greece, and do a mission trip.
I am very happy for all of my friends that have found the loves of their lives. I feel just a little left out. People talking about marriage problems (well I am not looking forward to that), and others talking about couples events. I am not completely left out, I have a boyfriend (almost three years). It is just the "wife" and "husband" titles that get me. I can still picture us playing dress up at each others house and selling girl-scout cookies.
That is life, I suppose. We all grow up, some friends grow closer and others do not. I am very lucky to have the friends that I have. I wish them all the best and one day I will join them in this crazy journey. On the plus side attending all these weddings might help me plan mine in the distant future.

On Facebook, Biggest Threat to Your Private Data May Be You
The article "On Facebook, Biggest Threat to Your Private Data May Be You" by Jacquielynn Floyd on page 285 of Argument. This article talks about Facebook and how people are constantly posting personal ideas and thoughts throughout the day. They even state what they are doing and where they are going at what time every day. Floyd says that the only one to blame for putting your private information on the Internet. Facebook changed their policy and people feel like that are in danger of their information spreading around but Facebook was just updating their policy to protect themselves. They do not want to be at fault for things people choose to post on the Internet. "How can we expect somebody we don't even know to safeguard our privacy if we think so little of it ourselves?" Floyd states in her article.
I think Floyd does a great job with this article. She starts off talking about what people post on Facebook and what the privacy terms are. Then she talks about the different type of Facebook people, some post a little and some post a lot. Her transitions from each paragraph flow perfectly. Her grammar and punctuation are done properly and there were no confusing wording. I enjoyed reading this article. I agree completely with her and am glad I am not the only one that feels this way. No one should be responsible for what is posted on the Internet besides yourself. I really like how she adds her own thoughts throughout the article. I do think that she should have put facts into it to make it more credible. I like reading article where there are things proven by other sources, I think it really adds to it.

Spring Break
Growing up spring break was so exciting for everyone. Everyone looked forward to no class, sleeping in, going on vacation, and doing whatever we want. The last day before break would always be a relaxing day that did not require too much effort. I remember waking up in an excellent mood, the thought that I won't have to go back for a whole week running through my mind all day.
Now that I am in college spring break feels more exciting than ever. College is more difficult than high school. You only get one semester for an entire class unlike my high school you got a whole year. Because everything is crammed in such a short time period this break is much needed. The last day before break I have a quiz, a test, and a project due. Definitely not the same as middle school and high school. This break is so exciting because I have time to catch up on homework and work on all my projects that are due in a month or so. When I was younger the thought of doing homework on break did not even cross my mind.
Things have changed a lot. Break should not be all about homework. Everyone should remember to have fun. Having fun and relaxing is needed at every age. It will help clear your mind so it is not focused on school or work all day everyday.
Enjoy your break!!
